It’s the Little Things…

…that have the biggest impact.

Have you ever heard a child laugh? Their symphony of giggles is as clear as a bell. The ripples of chuckles and high pitch fluctuations will warm your heart and put an instant smile on your face. If you ever need a reminder of what is really important, allow a child to enlighten you.

As a Nanny, I AM Blessed to have a reservoir of delightfully memorable experiences. Here are a few… From time to time one of my pre-school nanny kids would meticulously and effortlessly put the tag down on my shirt if it was sticking out. On another occasion when my nanny kids and I were on our way home from a day at the beach, one of them firmly directed his siblings to, “Stop talking! Erynne’s driving.” And then there was the time we were finishing up breakfast and my nanny toddler looked me directly in the eyes and asked matter-of-factly, “Erynne, are you okay?”

These are some of the things I cherish the most. The countless times the children I’m entrusted to look after, show me they have MY back. It’s also an indicative glimpse into their character. And these little behavioral gems are a big deal in my book.
